Papo France Louis XIV. On His Horse

Most famous French monarch, Louis XIV (1638-1715), said "the great" or "the sun king" ruled over France and Navarre from 1643 to 1715; this is one of the longest reigns in European history. After the death of Mazarin, he personally assumed the government of the kingdom, and exercised an iron hand an "absolute monarchy". Passionate about art and architecture, the Palace of Versailles with its gardens, where you can admire the equestrian statue taken by PAPO, remains his most extraordinary achievement. Measures approximately 4.5" x 2.8" x 5.5
