Catan Jr Strategy Game

2 - 4 players, 6 years & up Catan: Junior takes place on a ring of tropical isles—including the mysterious Spooky Island, home of the Ghost Captain. It's the perfect place for a pirate to establish an empire! Each island generates a specific resource: wood, goats, molasses, or cutlasses. You can also find gold. Everyone starts with 2 pirate lairs, and then builds ships in order to expand their network. The more lairs you build, the more resources you may receive. Use your resources to build more ships, lairs, or to get help from the wise Coco the Parrot. You can even trade in the nearby market. Just watch out for the dreaded Ghost Captain! The first player to control 7 pirate lairs wins the game! Catan: Junior lets younger players experience the world of Catan by introducing a simpler playing style. The Ghost Captain blocks your ability to collect resources, but doesn't steal anything. The use of resource tiles instead of cards makes it easier for little hands to manage. Coco Tiles (development cards in the regular game) can be bought and used all at once. It may be a simplified version, but the key attributes of Catan games remain: strategy, territory, resource management, and luck! WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
