Brio Smart Tech Record & Play Engine

3 yrs & up 2 piece set Take control of the play with this interactive toy train. The Record & Play Engine is a battery-powered train that's packed full of playful technology and powerful enough to handle the heaviest loads. Use the red button on top of the engine to record your own sounds and then hear them play as it passes through the Sound Action Tunnel. The added Smart Tech Sound technology allows the engine to communicate with its surroundings, automatically responding to Smart Tech accessories with various train actions like multi color lights, motion and sounds that enhance the imaginative play. About BRIO SmartTech: Finally, a fun use for RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). The SmartTech Engine acts as the center of all 'Smart' activities. The Engine sends and receives RFID signals from the tunnels and other pieces. Those signals instruct the engine to take a series of unique actions, sounds, and light effects. Children can place and rearrange the action tunnels and station in their layouts to create new play situations every time. SmartTech pieces are 100% compatible with all the other Brio Wooden Train pieces. So go ahead and combine sets!
