Giraffe And A Half, A: Shel Silverstein

Hardcover If you had a giraffe and he stretched another half you would have a giraffe and a half. And if you glued a rose to the tip of his nose And so it goes until. But that would be telling too much! Filled with Shel Silverstein's familiar line drawings and wildly funny rhymes, this book will keep children laughing up to the very end as they discover how the situation is resolved. Shel Silversteins incomparable career as a children's book author and illustrator began the previous year, in 1963, with Lafcadio, the Lion Who Shot Back. However, 1964 was the year Shel Silverstein's creativity flourished, with the publication of Dont Bump the Glump!, A Giraffe and a Half, Who Wants a Cheap Rhinoceros?, and the beloved classic The Giving Tree. Later he continued to build his remarkable body of work with Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, Falling Up, Every Thing On It, The Missing Piece, The Missing Piece Meets the Big O, and Runny Babbit.
