Wow in the World: Everlasting Volcano

Impress future geophysicists with a volcano that erupts again and again! Curiosity, supercharged! Thames & Kosmos teams up with the innovative Wondery Kids podcast team in a first-of-its-kind collaboration that gives kids an exciting new way to play and learn! The “Wow in the World” series combines high-quality, hands-on STEM kits with engaging, exclusive audio content from the ultimate science podcast for the whole family, “Wow in the World”! Press down on the “lava lever” a few times and – WOW – the crater pops up and slime lava flows down its sides. The volcano works with three types of eruptions: heat-activated color-changing slime “lava”, soft foam “lava-rock” balls, and the classic vinegar-and-baking-soda reaction with kitchen cupboard ingredients. The STEM instruction guide teaches kids how the super-cool mechanism inside this volcano models the pressure buildup of magma underneath a real one. Comes with a durable beaker that kids can add to their STEM gear collection for extended play and exploration! Includes a free 3-month subscription to Wondery+ for access to a wide range of educational podcasts.
