Girl with Sleigh and Gifts Figurine (Wendt und Kuehn)

From the Wendt und Kuehn historical collection. You can almost hear the groan of the little girl's sleigh laden with all her goodies, which include a star, fresh baked bread, a bottle of wine, and a traditional Erzgebirge splinter box.! This figurine was created by Olly Wendt, based on her twins Hans and Sigrid. Olly Wendt designed these Winter Children as a personal gift for a small, select circle: they were never produced in series and are only now being seen for the very first time by the general public. Handcrafted in the Erzgebirge region of Germany. A perfect match for the Boy with Tree figurine (sold separately).
