Peterman Cherry Two Toned Round Bowl 15"

Spencer Peterman has a keen eye for fallen trees decaying in the woods — the more weathered and moss-covered, the better. What might look like rot to most is a hidden treasure to him, and to his customers. Beneath the surface lies wood transformed by early decomposition, revealing dramatic patterns and textures. When turned on a lathe, it becomes a one-of-a-kind bowl — a natural work of art, perfect for your home. The ebonized bowls are crafted using a natural wood-darkening technique that enhances the wood's grain while creating rich, dark hues. The ebonizing process interacts with the wood's tannins, producing deep brown and black tones. These Cherry bowls feature the warm, rosy interior typical of Cherry wood, contrasted beautifully by the dark, ebonized exterior. Each bowl is sustainably sourced, upcycled, and handcrafted in New England. They are 100% food safe.
