My Discovery Telescope

The moon, a bird in a distant tree, or the action across a playing field all come closer with My Discovery Telescope. This real refracting telescope from Thames & Kosmos is designed for both nighttime skywatching and daytime views of faraway objects. Set it on its tabletop tripod, choose an eyepiece, and adjust the focus until the view sharpens; a grown-up can help first-time astronomers get everything lined up. It requires no batteries, just a steady spot, a curious observer, and something worth finding in the distance.
