Feltalas Bowls and Balls

Get children engaged in sensory fine motor activities with our Feltalas Bowls and Balls. Designed in six beautiful earthy colours, each shade has balls in three sizes and the bowls to match, ideal for sorting, tweezing and more. A wonderfully open-ended resource to support your finger gym, maths area, loose parts area and role play provision. Sure to become a firm favourite in your classroom! These loose parts resources are a great addition to your continuous provision. Encourage children to colour match and sort each corresponding colour into the right bowl, tweeze from bowl to bowl, or create transient art! It doesn't stop at loose parts play either. These make a fantastic maths resource and are a great way to meet multiple learner needs. For mathematics, these are wonderful for size ordering, creating repeating patterns, and practising one to one correspondence. Lay out in a tuff tray with a numeral and ask children to count that many into a bowl. Encourage children to make simple sums to match given numerals by adding balls from each bowl together, or even practise subitising in small groups! The opportunities abound. Plus, with multiple balls and bowls, this cosy resource is a great way to get children playing collaboratively. With enough items for multiple children to play at once, learners can explore maths concepts together, or observe how their peers interact with the resources and copy accordingly. Pair more dextrous children with those who could do with more practice, and see how they gain new skills!
